window sailing crammed small bare ancient
rising hummimg light falling friend breast

3WW given words:
intentional
kaleidoscopic (adj: multicolored psychedelic)
lacerate (verb: gash slash wound)

definitely a window of opportunity
not to pass off the joys of sailing
though crammed in a small boat
bare of any pretences of luxury
and seemingly ancient by any standards
but lots of fun to a teenager

that was a long time ago
when given the chance
what a thrill!

rising to the occasion
humming a light little tune
head over heels like falling
in love with a special friend
and heaving a heavy breast
with the first kiss

it was a lucky break not intentional
but with kaleidoscopic hallucinations then
on how it could have been a luxury yacht

lacerated in thinking perhaps
but dreaming of the good life!

He had no recourse but to proceed

Image: Branches (here)

the 12 given words:
breathe cold blue crack  limb seep
crimped (to check, restrain, or inhibit; hinder)
snapped grass stones overlapping season

Whispers in the Willow Trees
That breathed hot and cold
Feeling blue he had dark designs
To crack his brains and to
pull out limb by limb

Some workable solutions
seemed to have seeped through
But like the bent branches some
crimped back from the efforts
and they snapped

The grass was greener and the
stones were polished shiny
but always on the other side

His mind was cluttered very much
like an overlapping season to mess
his thinking process

He had no recourse but to proceed
There was nothing to be cautious
about but to weave in and out
between the branches

Hopefully the psychic disconnect
could be resolved and the strange
yellowish hues could be green again.

Newlyweds on photo shoots turned funny
Distractions ahead would be more serious
Cool heads could well be seen delirious

No spyglass held to view the distance
Life an open book set to differ
Some made a name in all innocence
Some ended the day a sad failure
Brilliance had luck to play its pittance
Most drifted along to remain poor

So success did not discriminate
Some plainly luckless not got it made

3WW given words:

PU's Midweek Motif  -  flowers

Huffing and puffing pursuing a dream
Picture of life in the fast lane more to do
with love and emotions than financial
stability and flaunting of wealth

A maze of innocence to sustain the progeny
Fully aware that marriage and the confining
thereafter is a responsibility not just of  those
capable but all of humankind to contribute

Traces of failures no more are acceptable
Some may find themselves on edge but they
should not hastily flinch from efforts now
readily available leaving many gaping
at the wonderful wonders of ART**

How then not to marvel at the challenges
facing motherhood and in overcoming them
Beautiful flowers to be ogled at and to be
showered with all the love by their menfolks
Mankind is blessed that mothers are invented

Of which nothing flimsy nor of any pretences
Found at the Traitors' Gate behind closed doors
Unfortunate band of souls with known offences

Regular trips to view on some guided tours
Where were lines of stilted visitors feet shuffling
To wonder of intrigues prior to entering the Tower
Or of one-time inmates at Alcatraz and Sing Sing

Many rouge galleries shine in modern times
Run with progressive precision of reformation
There are fewer traces of harsh treatments
Unlike those of old corrective institutions

looking down the fairway at the
18th tee with the legs locked up
it had been a good game

for the past two-and- a- half hours
we were pitting our prowess against
each other below a clear blue sky

Much too hot where even the dark
glasses were complaining at the
rivulets of sweat clouding the vision

beautiful flowers though brightened
up to greet the flight where crows
and sparrows kept company in
the bushes darting out occasionally
upon our presence

pairs of black swans at the nearby
lake gliding leisurely while we golfers
were sweltering and thinking of the cool
refreshments at the end of the game

3WW given words:
crisis embarrassment decayed

Utterly confused and insomniac
Was it wrong to return?
Remembering his father
was the sustenance to his soul

He felt lonely, he was lonely
He kept dialling for his father
in his mind but refrained countless times
Dropped out of college that was bad enough
Squandered his inheritance, so it was but
he should not be labelled a thief

He was defender of the displaced
fought for human rights in many
of their peaceful marches in the streets

He should hear it himself from his father
It would help cleanse his conscience
There should not be a crisis with his brother

An embarrassment to his being initially but
no decayed thinking should muddle the issue
The return of the prodigal son replayed
His father was a good man, a forgiving man!

3WW given words
bit anticlimax violate

Oscar Night and in walked the glamorous celebrities
They paraded in stunning styles of the latest fashions
Made their mark on the legendary red carpet
Sporting beautiful designer dresses

The rich and famous of the entertainment fraternity
Individually in their own right or as couples
Glittering and dazzling to be ogled at

Very balanced in demeanour far from brittle
Talented hopefuls set to bring home the coveted statuette

In the meantime, the Red Carpet kittens were waiting
Hand-picked for the occasion they stationed
themselves at strategic positions
They did their utmost to intercept their
targets along the passage-way

TV cameras were all the while focused
on the interviews, live

It was no picnic nothing scrawny but they
were in their Sunday best
After all they too were in the limelight
to be telecasted back home
Very much like finches they too had to fight
tooth and nail perhaps to be there

It would be an anticlimax to witness an interviewer
who might be a bit cold in their attitude
They had unwittingly brought daubs
to the privilege and to their being

It was tragic as it did happen once to a local talent
She was sent there amidst fanfare back home
but did not get to interview for some reasons
She had violated certain contractual
obligations apparently!

Let there be light
day and nights
Let the waters gather
and dry land appear
Let there be living creatures
and man rule over on earth.

Thus the soil was tended for sustenance
Man evolved into brilliance and eminence
But man staked a claim
and stamped his mark with his name

Borders were created greed appeared
Erupting in disputes and conflicts ensued
Misguided leaders bent on killings
and accentuating pain and sufferings

Might was right on human conscience a blight
Shouts of sacrilege heard against those privileged
Man had gone insane and it never seemed the same, again
