T for Tantalisingly Appreciative  in the Quest to be Healthy

geometric forms in a kaleidoscopic insistence
the various calling of colors sebaceously conveying
a flow of energy safely insulating its perversion
but in the mind of an artist pregnant with musings

it is open to varied hues of interpretations
that is the beauty of skills bursting unimpeded
rare in its perfection of priceless appearance
affecting viewers unwittingly left sedated

can one be faulted then clawing to understand
but tantalisingly appreciative of the show of talents!

  1. I sure am left scratching my head many a time at so called art, but to each their own.

  4. "open to interpretation" loved the way you have used it here... I personally am a lover of abstract painting, only for the reason that it has varied interpretation..

    nice poem :)

Such a beautiful description. The glory of art is it leaves the viewer to decide what it sees in brush strokes. Thank you so much for writing!!

  9. I can spend hours admiring works of art in museums, and my refrigerator is covered with numerous pieces of "art" created by my grandchildren, so my appreciation for artistic talent is pretty eclectic. Even so, some of the abstract offerings leave me cold. They're too... abstract. :)

  11. Marvelously done. We should let ourselves go, so that we may see and appreciate.

  14. I guess, Hank, that we as humans try to put non human material into a form that we can understand (partially), the Human form. Nicely written.

  16. There's so much creativity and energy bursting from this poem, just like the painting. The word "sebaceously" is a new one on me too.
