Pulling the tail would make it snarl

Been playing all day by the lake
at the forest's edge
Darkening skies a signal to take
the trip home but wait

Pulling the tail would make it snarl
not a grin
Careful with it, pal
Or both would end up in the drink

Bjorn's at d'Verse's Quadrille-4 of not
exceeding 44 words and to include the
word -  grin

  1. A snarl is definitely not the right kind of grin, and yes, that close to the water, and it might just get you wet!

  2. Ha, hope no one ended up in the drink! That would wipe the GRIN off a person's face.

  3. Ending up in the drink would sure make any fun sink.

  4. Oh, how close a snarl IS to a grin...there's just something about a grin that's slightly sinister...Love this.

  5. I prefer the bared teeth of grins and smiles to that of snarls... and I also prefer to grin from drink than in the dring.
