A Dream

A Lifestyle

Unified in wedded bliss
The young of today
Bubbling with energy

To procreate a lineage
Unmasking their potential
For business and leisure
And pleasure
Of a balanced  lifestyle

Life is more than that
Life is a commitment
To spouse, family, friends and country
Revolving around  the social network circuit
Just sedentary
Minimal physical activity
Is prognostic of risks

Know your perils
Life is for the taking
To the fullest
But know your perils!

  8. Looking out and looking in need to both be there to balance, and everyone needs to leave their comfort zone behind sometimes--staying there is one of the perils you point out--enjoyed this much.

  9. Yes it's all about the lifestyle, looks and "my life", commitment is lost, and those simple pleasures are taken for granted. Timely piece!

  10. You are right know your perils that life is for the taking we should all try and find the happiness and fullness in our lives and live our lives each day like it was our last.

  11. Thoughtful poem, very touching to a guy who sometimes wonders if commitment itself isn't the peril we should keep watch for...... Life takes so many twists and turns, and I agree that there should always be that constant commitment, that devotion to togetherness, and love. Even when we find that it's not there, it should be....
