Awaiting...

Photo Image:  Courtesy of Willow's Magpie

...and Hoping

A young maiden
Vying in the evening dusk
Clinging against hope
Clasping for strength
Her beauty only for him
Neptune lost in time
But gathering storms
Building up
Bidding for a good omen
A sign of awakening
An offering nonetheless

Listless she with bated breath
Raven by her side
Spying  into the distance
Faithfully  prying
To dig into Davy Jones’ confines
Awaiting with open arms
Anticipating
Rise and come back to me!

  5. Great tale you weaved all the way down to davy jones locker, there I wouldn't want to be a stalker, but the anticipation sure wasn't an exaggeration.

  7. Very well done, Hank. Full of emotion, pain, and somehow, hope.
I must admit I was distracted by your links at the bottom of this post. One showed Muhammad Ali, so I had to look. How I do love that man!

  10. Hi. Yes, thanks for asking, I'm a serious Ali fan, right from the first Clay-Liston fight and ever since. When he lit the Olympic torch a few years ago, I cried.
